#1 Pointless Beauty - The Pursuit For The Perfect Shade Of Chartreuse Nail Polish
I should profess this by saying, I’m the type of person that easily develops wild obsession with things. My favourite crisps, obsessed, my favourite Greek yogurt obsessed, my favourite towel, obsessed. You get the idea, I’ve got what they say is an obsessive personality.
Like everyone else, I was obsessed with the series White Lotus, but what caught my eyes was the nail polish the character Portia (Haley Lu Richardson) was wearing throughout the series. I couldn’t keep my eyes off them, I was literally obsessed, I needed to find that specific shade of green, which I can tell you was quite the struggle, so in this first instalment of my pointless beauty newsletter - where I indulge in sharing my most pointless beauty pursuits- is all about green nail polish, to be specific the Chartreuse shade worn by Portia on season two of White Lotus.

Ok I’ve even got a Pinterest board, green nails, I’m not ashamed, it’s called dedication. It’s the perfect shade of green, not too light, nor too dark, it's bright, just right. I’m very particular with nail polish shades, and this shade caught my eye.
As any beauty investigator would do, I started off with a search on socials, nothing on the nail artist on set or info on the shade and even the brand, come on, nothing - not even a crumb to steer me in the right direction. Then it was onto Google, why didn’t anyone else think it was the most perfect shade of green? There were no articles, nothing even on Reddit, and so onto Pinterest in search of my green nail dreams. I have pinned around a thousand green nails, but not quite right. By this time, I was infatuated with this polish and I thought about it, at least twice a day, it was wild times.
Last week, after months - what felt like years - of searching (I wouldn’t get any medals for detective work, let’s just say), I randomly came across a TikTok video on the subject, and of course TikTok does it’s thing, my feed quickly become all things Portia’s nail polish and White Lotus. According to TikTok the perfect shade matches are OPI’s Pear-adise Cove and Essie’s piece of Work. I am off to do some nail polish testing but, I think I have found my summer nail polish shade.
