APPROACH IT WITH SOME HUMILITY AND SENSITIVITY . . .

In June of 2023, California’s Gavin Newsom pooh-poohed the hoopla over trans-identified males competing in female sports in an interview by Fox News. He asked that we show some “humility and sensitivity” about what he viewed as a non-issue. What does that even mean? I think it means, Suck it up, buttercup.
Newsom said that of the 520,000 NCAA athletes, only a few dozen are trans. Newsom seemingly gathered that data point from Outsports, that reports that 36 players have openly admitted to being transgender. But no one is actually keeping track; certainly not the California Interscholastic Federation. And no, Gavin, just looking at how many male bodies take female spots in elite sports isn’t the whole story, and we don’t trust Outsports for reporting accurately. Plus, trans-identified males are nudging out females in pretty much every sport.
For giggles, Google a sport plus the word “transgender” and see how many you can find. Golf, bowling, biking, swimming, rowing, tennis, soccer, volleyball, softball, rugby, figure skating, power lifting, basketball, martial arts. Heck, you could turn this into a drinking game: take a shot every time the sport you name has no transgender player. I assure you that no one will leave the party needing a designated driver.
As more and more men bully their way to first place, trouncing girls and physically harming them along the way, the average American is no longer buying into the “kindness and inclusivity” argument. More importantly,, the girls and women players are no longer grinning and bearing it. Thank you, Riley Gaines! Save Women Sports! Thank you, Beth Stelzer! ICONS! Thank you, Linda Blade, Kim Jones, Martina Navratilova! WomenAreReal! A special thank you to all the girls’ teams that are opting to forfeit rather than play against a male body in a female league. Women’s refusal to capitulate is having an empowering ripple effect: last month, after several females refused to participate in a martial arts grappling tournament, the North American Grappling Association banned trans-identifying males from competing.
A Gallup poll taken in May 2023 shows that a growing number of Americans are opposed to trans-identified sports players being allowed to choose their team based upon their “gender identity.” That poll shows that from 2021 and 2023, the number of Americans who want sports to be based upon the sex of the athletes rose from 62% to 69% overall, a 7-point increase. In contrast, Americans who want sports teams to be based upon athletes’ gender identity dropped from 34% to 26%, an 8-point decrease. Broken down by party, Republicans increasingly want sports to be separated based upon sex. During that same time frame, the percentage of Republican voters who believe sports should be based upon sex jumped from 86% to 93%; for independents it increased from 63% to 67%; and for Democrats it increased from 41% to 48%. Yep, even the liberals (the category I fall within) are starting to finally see the senselessness and unfairness of male bodies competing against female bodies. Perhaps with the recent viral video of the high school field hockey female player in Massachusetts screaming off the field after a trans-identified male player rocketed the ball into her face will cause more liberals to re-think their position. Or will the tide turn even faster, after the lunatic display of the recent swim meet at which a 50-year-old man masquerading as a 13-year-old was allowed to compete against young females? After that, is there really any “humility and sensitivity” left to hand out?
Personally, I would like to see an entire boys’ team try out for the parallel girls’ team. Image the boys’ lacrosse team playing as the girls’ lacrosse team, or the entire baseball team playing for the girls’ softball team. Who would Transgender Law Center represent in that lawsuit? The non-binary girl that didn’t make the team? Wait–is there such a thing as a non-binary “girl”?
Below is an incomplete list of male athletes in California playing on females’ teams. These are only the ones mentioned in the mainstream press, but we know that there are more. Similarly, we know that these numbers will only grow, because there are too many parents and weak coaches who would rather lie, prolong, and concretize a player’s gender dysphoria, cruelly enabling his belief that he can be, and is, the opposite sex, rather than risk their jobs or do their job as a parent and speak the truth to him, even when it will disappoint.
1. Athena Ryan, a male runner at Sonoma Academy, has been taking first place in girls’ cross-country and track meets. Athena took first place in California’s Coastal Mountain Conference Championship for the 2.97 mile, stealing the title from Josie Hill, a female. Athena also stole female Adeline Johnson’s podium spot and her opportunity to compete in track’s 1,600-meter state finals in 2023.
2. Lorelli Barrett, a male track and cross country runner (he also competes in long jump) of Sherman Oaks’ Buckley High School cheated his way to the California State Preliminary Track and Field Championship, an elite race. Because of the backlash, he did not compete in the female category, but did in the male category this past week. He is currently slated to play on the female soccer team. Lorelli is so “marginalized” that the adults in charge allow him to flipflop on which team he prefers to compete at his whim.
The CIF noted its disappointment that Athena and Lorelli withdrew from the State Track and Field Championships. I am guessing that the females were not disappointed.
3. Tate Drageset of Santa Monica is a 6’1 male volleyball player for Sherman Oaks’ Buckley High School, whose parents transitioned him as child. He is committed to the University of Washington to play volleyball. He obviously took a female’s spot. His parents are transgender activists, and despite writing a children’s book that says boys can like pink, they decided to change their son to be a boy whose appearance is feminine likely because he liked pink. From the images of Tate, it appears that his penis was removed, likely as a minor. His father, Eric Drageset, is a donor to the Transgender Law Center. This is the law group funded by George Soros that places transgender rights above everyone’s even elderly women and young girls.
4. Aaron Lester is a male playing as a girl on the varsity volleyball team as a sophomore for Half Moon Bay High School. He gave a senior girl on the opposing team a concussion when he missed a shot at the net. (We have a witness who spoke with the father of the senior girl but who wants to remain anonymous. Press refused to cover.) The concussed senior female is now done for the season. It's not hard to pick Aaron out in his clips as he towers over the females. Aaron also played against one my friends’ daughter’s team. He injured a girl during that game, too. He might have broken another player’s finger with a power shot.
5. June Watterson is a sophomore male who identifies as a girl. He won the California-Nevada high school girls' skiing championship in March of 2023. While competing against girls in skiing, he remains in the boys' category for biking. Hem, I am seeing a pattern.
6. Maddie Gottlieb is a male who plays high school tennis as a female and ranks in the top 2,230 in tennis for females. He is a mediocre player, but of course that is not the point. He is about age 15 now and bound to continue to grow stronger and taller, regardless of being on estrogen. His parents transitioned him at age 12 because in part he had friends who were girls. Maddie (born Zachary) is registered to play tennis with USTA as a female.
While it is easy to call these six confused boys straight up are cheats, I will follow some advice from Gavin and be “sensitive,” as we all should be. These boys are likely autistic, or gay, or have ADHD or other mental health issues, or have experienced some type of trauma. Not a one of these boys appears to be receiving the correct mental health treatment for their gender dysphoria. At least two of them are already sterile, won’t have normal sexual function as an adult, and are doomed to a life chained to the medical complex. I know too many detransitioners and those stuck in no man’s land–pun intended–to believe that their lives will be joyful and fulfilling. My heart aches for them, because the adults in their lives failed them. Someone should have told them simply that they could never, and will never, truly become women. And that being gender incongruent, or effeminate, or simply feeling awkward in their developing body, did not disqualify them from being male and growing up to be a man, fully intact, fully functioning, and healthy. Let’s celebrate each child’s uniqueness without colluding with their distress with their bodies.
That said, my empathy only goes so far. It’s time to get males out of female sports. Who would have thought that in 2023, 51 years after Title IX passed that we would have to convince people that females need their own sports and single-sexed spaces Let’s save women’s sports together. Please go to ProtectKidsca.com, and donate, volunteer and signthe Ballot Initiative to make it unlawful for males to play on female teams in California. (Petitions should be ready on November 30, 2023).
When we end this California, it ends across the nation.
