Call Of Duty Gets Woke-r
Activision recently allowed Call of Duty (COD) Warfare III and Warzoneplayers to celebrate Pride Month with free LGBTQ+ community skins. While there’s an argument to be made about how ugly the skins look with their trans and rainbow colors, the main issue immediately brought to light was how inappropriately timed it was, considering barely a year ago a violent trans activist shot up a Christian school.
Per capita, attacks by trans activists outpace attacks against people who claim to be trans when you consider that people who identify as “trans” are barely 1% of the population. Additionally, suicide rates and shooting rates have increased dramatically for people in the LGBTQ+ group. A widely-reported and statistically accurate fact, despite the left’s efforts to sweep it under the rug, which seems like the opposite of compassion. COD’s parent company is being sued right now (along with social platforms) by Uvalde parents who claim that the game company bears responsibility for the killer’s conduct as he played games. Creating skins to allow players to play as violent trans shooters seems unhelpful to their case.
What is wrong with Activision? Are they that desperate to be seen as politically correct that they forgot how to read the (court)room? Not only do most players, some of them gay as well, not enjoy this rainbow garbage, but it has discouraged their sales by a large margin. They don’t even know their own player base.
