Castle Crashers Remastered Finally Gets A Physical Release
Back in August of 2008, The Behemoth released a little beat’em up game called “Castle Crashers” to Xbox Live. This immediately gained the respect of gamers everywhere and resulted in great scores from reviewers around the globe. Then in 2015, the game was remastered for Xbox One, and later PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch. But during all of this time, Castle Crashers has never seen a physical release. Today The Behemoth has announced that coming soon there will be a physical release on Nintendo Switch. The standard edition will be available in The Behemoth’s online store, next month for $29.99. This edition includes a sticker pack and character unlock guide.
There also will be a limited edition PAX West show exclusive bundle. This bundle will retail for $50 and includes the following:
The Behemoth also states that the first 100 boxes sold at PAX West will also have a limited edition Castle Crashers medallion included with purchase. I do wish these bundles were also sold online, as me being on the East coast has little opportunity to fly across the country to attend the show. I also fear that these will skyrocket in price on the secondary market. Overall, I am glad that this game is FINALLY getting a physical release! This one will be on my shelf for sure.
