Dave Price, former WHO-TV broadcaster

Dave Price is joining the Iowa Writers’ Collaborative with his column: Dave Price’s Perspective.

Central Iowans know the veteran broadcast journalist for his work on WHO-TV, most recently, as the political news director, managing editor, host and executive producer of the Sunday community affairs show, “The Insiders.”

The Iowa Writers’ Collaborative was formed one year ago, and now has 32 Iowa columnists who are writing independently, and referring to one another. The effort links readers and writers directly. Members of the collaborative are professional journalists who share one thing in common: the belief in telling stories about and for an Iowa audience.

Dave Busiek, veteran former KCCI news director, who writes the column: Dave Busiek on Media, welcomed Price on board:

Dave [Price] is an experienced and respected political reporter. He has good contacts. He’s fair. He’s smart. He’s calm. I can’t wait to read his perspective. Dave Busiek

From the founder of the Western Iowa Journalism Foundation, and Iowa Writers’ Collaborative columnist, Douglas Burns:

Dave Price is the gold standard of Iowa political journalism. No one does it better. He’s well sourced, deeply respected, and , most of all, always prepared to interview political candidates at the highest levels. His insights in columns and videos and other media platforms for the Iowa Writers’ Collaborative will be eagerly consumed by many readers - in Iowa and nationally.
