How Often Is The Holodeck Used For Sex Orgies?
Holodeck sex, anyone? Yes, please, why thank you! Such a randy urge to sexual action appears to be the sexy siren call to naughtiness by horned up crewmembers on many a Starfleet starship.
Fans of the various Star Trek series know how often a Holodeck factors into episodes and various plotlines. Holographic tech becomes linchpin for memorable stories. The plain fact of the matter is it’s both hobby and cozy lovenest for most all races we meet in Gene Roddenberry’s carefully crafted sci-fi universe.
Nobody can say for sure how often the high tech marvel is used for lovemaking - except perhaps computer, which keeps a record of the specific activity transpiring during each holographic session or simulation. A perusal of various props needed for a hot, steamy holo fantasy would be all that was necessary to log the lusty lovers rendezvous.
But we do know such behavior goes on - more often than many would think or maybe want to know about. Hell, just the sex escapades of Lt. Reginald Barclay on Captain Picard’s Enterprise could probably fuel more than a few erotic charged sex romps, pornos and manuals.
Envision, the future…. a state-of-the-art room which enables one to literally do or experience anything in the known universe and beyond. It’s the place of ultimate wondrous wonders. It’s a place where we learn the secrets of the galaxy, simulate irresistible natural forces or pick the brain of the great minds of history, science and literature.
And it’s where Starfleet officers love to love each other. Yeah, they schedule holodeck time and proceed to screw their horny brains out.
The Goddess of Empathy. Say that to any Next Generation fan, and you’ll undoubtedly elicit a stream of giddy guffaws.
Making her debut in the TNG episode, Hollow Pursuits, the nerve wracked, anxiety prone Lt. Reg Barclay (Dwight Schultz) turned our familiar crew members into holo toys for his erotic amusement. Never during the tale was a concrete reason to believe that Barclay and Troi’s Goddess were a naughty pair, but we can all do the basic math.
It you were invited to be gobsmacked witness to Barclay’s special holotime, you’d see some things you could never unsee. Counselor Deanna Troi never looked more classic - or bizarre.
Later in the episode, the real Counselor Troi does enter into Barclay’s little holo fantasy and promptly confronts a Greek idealized version of herself.
Lt. Barclay isn’t the only one who enjoys using the holodeck to help enable a more exciting social life - albeit a fake, ultimately inconsequential one.
Chief Engineer Geordi LaForge spent many a day and night playing in holographic worlds on the decks of Enterprise. He basically falls in love with one of the designers of the starship, only to meet her in real life later on and things don’t go so well at all.
Kathryn Janeway’s crew on far away from home Voyager really made great, extensive use of the holographic tech. Even the Captain got herself a boyfriend of sorts to pass the time between the Delta Quadrant and getting home to resume a semblance of normal socializing life.
Let’s face it: Life is real hard, holographic sex is real easy. The crews of these starships work hard, and it’s no shock that they want and need to play as hard. The sexual release they experience by having any lover - or any number of lovers - at a holodeck beck and call for playtime seems almost mandatory. And when there’s a new sex program on tap, it obviously gets really crowded to say the least.
