Monday 10/16/23 Jeopardy! Fashion Recap

We’re continuing the semifinals! This is Day 11 of 14 for the Spades group of Champions Wildcard.

The four-part Champions Wildcard will air through December 18th and will feature 108 contestants (27 in each group.) Contestants include 105 former champions (1, 2, and 3 day winners) from Season 37 and 38 plus the 3 Second Chance winners from September.

If that was a lot to digest, here’s a more visual explanation & schedule from the Jeopardy! website.

Semifinals will continue Tuesday, followed by the two-day finals on Wednesday and Thursday.

I’ll be continuing to publish daily recaps here on Substack and photos to Instagram (I like how the grid format makes it easy to scroll through and see contestant outfits from the whole season!) I haven’t been posting much elsewhere, but links to all socials media are on my Linktree.

Josh is keeping his outfits simple, in the quarterfinals he wore a blue shirt and tonight he’s wearing a black shirt. I know I’m constantly saying people should wear more colorful outfits, but I do appreciate a nice solid black outfit once in a while!

Also, he KILLED that math category!

I LOVE this bright pink blouse! The high ruffled neckline is so pretty and the color is just stunning. She’s wearing the same pearl drop earrings and insulin pump as she wore in her quarterfinal appearance.

It was nice of the guys to dress in neutrals so Kendra’s pink could really stand out! Dane’s brown button down shirt reminds me of Matt Glassman’s shirt last week.

(I would like to know what Nintendo game Dane played to exercise his buzzer thumb for Jeopardy!)

Way back in Dane’s original run, I yelled at him for his lack of flair — but tonight I noticed that if you zoom in, Dane is wearing a thin gold necklace under his shirt and a small earring! Nice flair, Dane!

Ken has two tie designs like this that I call “squiggles”, though I think it is a small floral pattern.

I decided to keep track this week of which Final Jeopardy! “bumpers” air on which days. (Bumpers are the short promos/clips in the middle of the commercial break before FJ.) This was often a shot of the contestants writing, but near the end of last season they would usually show the judges at their table with the audience behind them instead. Sometimes it’s a promo for the podcast or the anytime test. Tonight’s bumper was the promo for audience tickets (which you can find here — they’re free!)
