On Deck: Restaurant Week Edition

Wednesday, March 6

Wednesday kicks off the Saratoga County Restaurant Week, during which restaurants from around the county will offer $15 breakfasts or lunches, or $25, $35 or $45 three-course dinners. The extensive list of participating restaurants includes PJs Bar-B-QSA, Eddie F’s, Jacob & Anthony’s, Panza’s, Taverna Novo, The Hideaway, The Brook Tavern, Hattie’s, Scallions, Coat Room, Dunning Street Station, Forno Bistro, The Wishing Well and many more. Thursday, March 7

If a three-course meal simply isn’t enough food for you, don’t miss this Thursday’s six-course beer dinner presented by The Hideaway and Artisanal Brew Works. Hosted at the former, the evening will be school-themed, in honor of the ABW owners’ teaching roots. Sip on favorite ABW beers including Fork Lift Stunt Driver IPA, Intermezzo Pilsner, Irish Cream Multiple Infinities, Orange Pineapple Warheads Sour, Whole Lotta Trouble Belgium Ale and Rattlin’ Bog Red Ale, all of which will be paired with a delicious dish by The Hideaway. Tickets are $50.

Saturday, March 9

Saturday marks the return of Impressions of Saratoga’s annual Pup’s Pawty, a dog-friendly birthday party celebrating the owners’ pups, Cookie, Smitty, Pupa and Thatcher. Stop by the Broadway shop with your well-behaved dog for treats, activities, a raffle and special deals on dog products. Donations of gently used toys, collars, leashes, beds, blankets and towels as well as dry and canned pet food will also be collected for the Estherville Animal Shelter.

Want to rock out for a good cause? This Saturday from 6-11pm, Rocktoga will host a cabin fever party featuring live performances by Joe Sinatra, Chris Sanders, Grand Central Station and Superposition at Clifton Park’s Park Manor Hotel, with proceeds benefitting Albany Med’s Melodies Center for Childhood Cancer & Blood Disorders. Tickets are just $10.

Sunday, March 10

Another way to support the local fight against cancer is to sign up for Bowling for Weeks, a fundraiser for Sara Weeks—who has been battling the disease for 10 years and was recently diagnosed with Stage 4 Metastatic Breast Cancer—going on at Saratoga Strike Zone this Sunday from 2-5pm. Individual tickets are $30 and $100 for a four-pack. Can’t make it? You can donate to the cause on GoFundMe.
