One quote that explains Jim Jordan's appeal to House Republicans

I truly hate when “the media” attempt to “read the tea leaves”, whether it’s how the Justices are “leaning” after oral arguments in the SCOTUS or what the vote total is going to be in Congress, as they’re almost never more than educated guesses. And in this column, Chris, that’s precisely what you’re doing.

I know, it’s expected of you, as a “political pundit”, but I still find it disconcerting.

I’ll state the obvious: there is NO ONE singularly LESS qualified to be Speaker of the House of Representatives than Jim Jordan. Period. (OK, George Santos is even less qualified, but I digress). Lots of “ink” has been written about why: not one single legislative accomplishment in his entire career in office; he’s never built a coalition ever, always being the “legislative terrorist” that would rather throw bombs; and, of course, his despicable attempts to overturn the Constitution for Donald J. Trump, all of which is HIGHLY documented and done so UNDER OATH by those with DIRECT knowledge. And that he is totally rudderless when it comes to morality, as his time at OSU has proven (again, with the extremely credible testimony of his former wrestlers UNDER OATH).

That he will, likely, be the next Speaker makes me throw up in my mouth a little bit.

My only hope is that his (hopefully short) time in Congress will prove to any independent or undecided voter that what used to be the GOP CANNOT and WILL NOT govern and do “the people’s work”. With any luck at all, this will further the possibility of a massive “blue wave” come November 2024.

I just don’t know if my 401(k) can survive the hit between now and then...
