One-Stop-Shop for Winter Fun - by Chelsea Diehl

Okay: I’m back with more winter fun!

One thing I didn’t disclose last newsletter…I don’t ice skate! While I’m an avid skier and love to snowshoe - ice skating and I don’t mix. Try as I might, I am terrible at it and also…I don’t enjoy it! My kiddo and husband love it, however, and I’m always down to be a cheerleader on the sidelines (preferably with a hot toddy in hand.)

Like the Sip’N Skate Nights, I’m most excited about an ice skating adventure when there is an “and” involved. Some applauding while my daughter takes some spins around a rink followed by….an and. Food, drinks, another activity. Anything to make a long stretch of standing rinkside a bit more appealing.

Something like, say, a free ice skating rink, a glorious sledding hill + candlepin bowling all within a few feet of each other?

Now that would be perfect.

At this Candlepin Bowling facility, you can reserve a single lane for just your family/friends or reserve all four lanes and make it a mini party! The quaint space can accommodate up to 16 guests.

Just 30 minutes outside Portland, you can spend the better part of a day pursuing a mix of outdoor adventures plus some fun warm-up activities - all within mere feet of each other. A one-stop-shop for a fun, jam-packed day in the dead of winter.
