I agree, King should be re-instated, if only for the fact free speech should be a human right. I don't agree with his position, although, it should be heard. The reality that many people forget is that history dictates savagery is responded to with a tenfold blowback.
Case in point Oct 7, no amount of screaming, faux outrage or lobbying, pressure and literary commentary is going to stop Israels retaliation. Fact-humanities collective national histories are stock full of examples of overwhelming retaliation. Granted there are instances where, the retaliation has been limited by negotiation, although the features of this retaliation and the history of Israel and the oppression the Jewish peoples have endured will not conform to any external negotiated limits. It will end only when Israel has achieved whatever objectives they set out to gain.
History of the last 90 years, inform us implicitly as to the fortitude and single mindedness of Israeli strategy. After WWII, and the reinstatement of Israel to the Israelis, emerged a new mindset of Judaism, one that was never to be dominated ever again. As a realist, there's no point in hysteria, here lies the answer, we will all have to wait, no matter the collective power of the world, we will all have to wait until Israel has achieved their objective.
When this is over we can then attempt to pick up the pieces, and attempt to mend fences, that more than likely will not be mended. Reality, is a bitch to social justice, the human condition has its own rules and no amount of feminisation of society will skewer the deeply embedded masculine mindset that is genetically predisposed to a physical pragmatism, dictated by its intrinsic knowledge of their contemporaries. They know if they do not act, it will be taken as weakness, therefore, pragmatic retaliation that may be viewed externally as excessive plays to a primal survival instinct, particularly amongst individuals, communities and societies that have faced consistent attack.
Humanity is primitive, and driven by primal instinct, morality is a luxury, not a necessity, intellect is the providence of civility although, simultaneously serves savagery.
