this little melody has been kicking around in my head for a good while. Lane and I first sang it together almost 9 years ago, before the wedding of some good friends…

it’s a simple, tender one.

I had the first verse with me all that time, and found myself anxious before a show—soundchecking in front of someone I respect. I’d been away from home for a while and was feeling that soul-sigh… like I needed some comfort in my deep downs. and this little melody came bubbling back up. singing it helped me take a big deep breath, and sing from my heart. so that evening in 2022, I decided to finish and record it.

I hope this song can be a little haven of peace for you.
