The John Wonder Case In Kansas City Is The Demise Of Masculinity, Writ Large

This case is outta Kansas City. Looks like these two, a guy named John Wonder and a woman named Ashli Erhardt, had two kids together and were married for a portion of time, but now estranged. Ya know, it’s an interesting intersection to be a fan of true crime and also a male with infertility issues, because you run into cases like this constantly and just wonder, “Why did these people need/get to have biological kids?” Oh well. I guess the universe is saying something to me, although I ain't sure what. (Maybe it’s just telling me how random it is.)

Share What Is Even Happening?

This Wonder character is the literal pits of the masculinity hole. This entire case seems to be about some form of control, down to even “branding.” So, he got her the two kids she probably wanted. I doubt she even wanted to have said kids with him, but she probably wanted kids and he was the best option at the time. I once wrote this, and people blasted me for something I hadn’t realized: a lot of men use kids to trap women.

He kills her apparently in the laundry room of their former shared home. He wrote his last name in blood on her leg. Some of that gets run through in this video:
