The Princess of Wales, Kate Middleton, hoped to quell rampant rumors about her mysterious health problems with a Mother’s Day photo of her surrounded by her smiling children. The clumsily photoshopped snap had the opposite effect and was dropped by several news organizations. The Spectator rightly described it as “a disastrous own goal”.
