This is me quietly launching a newsletter. If you've been following me over on my blog (eatchofood.com) for the last many years, then this newsletter will feel somewhat familiar to you. If you’re new, I’m Kristina and I’m a cookbook author who also shares recipes on the internet (@eatchofood). I wrote a cookbook called Mooncakes and Milk Bread in 2021 and still processing the impacts that book has had on my life. Mostly good things though! Like winning two James Beard Awards on my wedding day last year.
I’ve been wanting to launch a consistent newsletter for a while now, but the idea kept getting push further back as I focused on writing my second cookbook and remodeling our house. I’ve spent the first half of the year living in the woods while I wrapped up writing and so we didn’t have to live in a construction site with no power or running water. Now that these two major projects in my life are slowly buttoning up, the urge to reconnect with you and share my love for all things food is even stronger. I literally feel like I’m re-emerging into a world that feels totally different. People don’t read blogs anymore. Posting on Instagram and TikTok feels like I’m talking to a room of strangers most of the time. Since life has been quieter, I’ve been focusing on strengthen my relationships with the people in my life through simply cooking dinner together. I also want to do the same with with you! Wish you could all visit me in my new kitchen so we can snack on a cheese board and make a feast together. This newsletter will have to make due until we can : )
